Holy crap I had no IDEA how much time goes into making a 30 second clip. Well for me it felt like 5 years, but it was probably more like 2 point 267396 hours. ugh.
BUT! I did manage to eek out a pretty (I think) fun bumper for DS106 radio!

What did I do you ask?
1. Take a deep breath
2. Close the computer and walk away, grab some Fritos and maybe milk.
3. Brainstorm.
4. GO!
5. I downloaded audacity. This was free and easy to use. Thank you shareware.
6. I downloaded the converter. Do this, you wont regret it. seriously, it is basically impossible to make this work with out this. It may be called LAME, but it certainly IS. NOT.
7. Watch @cogdogs tutorial. Don’t skip this step (like I tried to do the first hour or so…)!
8.-2982. try, sample, listen, do-over, try again, listen more, smack-head, walk-away, return, bang the desk, smile, listen some more, watch the tutorial over again, play with dogs, laugh at your own antics, relax, SAVE.
2983. Export to convert to an MP3 file.
2984. Upload to SoundCloud.
2985. Sit back and enjoy! (that’s where I am right now, still have some Fritos left in my bowl too!)
2986. Get ready to practice more and make perfect, or at least better next time!
Bueno, moi bueno. I’m going to be uploading this to the station right away. One thing I do like to see is that you cite/link and audio you used in your project (the music in the background).

Did you have any problems uploading LAME? I can’t seem to get it on my computer and I uploaded it like 200 times. Ok, just 3. HELP!!!
Hey, yeah, I did it multiple times too until my husband asked if I had actually INSTALLED it. After the download go to the LAME icon and double click, it will open the installer, and then it all works great.
I didn’t even get an icon when I installed it! I don’t know how it happened, but I got it to export. I guess it installed?? I hope we never have to use that again – bad experience! I’m glad your experience went well. I enjoyed listening to your radio bumper, and I will probably hear it again on the DS radio! You will be famous

AHH, i love this one! haha, just so you know, i’m probably about half of your plays. I’ve been looking at bunch of other bumpers to get into mine and this one has been my favorite!When I try to convert my clip into an mp3 though, with LAME, it goes straight to mp4, and wont load. anything to help? thanks!
